Engine Management Diagnostics

With modern vehicles being so advanced it can be daunting to the vehicle owner when your engine management light comes.

 

At Charminster Garage we need to ascertain the correct fault of your vehicle, so when an initial computerised diagnosis code reading of the vehicles engine management system is undertaken it could contain historical codes masking the exact cause of the problem, so to ensure we establish the cause we will clear these codes from the history.  Occasionally codes may re-appear immediately and a fault can be easily established and rectified, but on occasions a vehicle may need to be driven for a period, so within our initial diagnostics price we have included a second diagnostic diagnosis reading within a 3-month period on the same vehicle and related fault for peace of mind to our customer free of charge.

Specialist Leak Detection

Using a specialist leak detection system to detect the slightest of leaks such as oil, exhaust, EGR and many more possibilities which are not easily detected.

 

Tyre Pressure Sensors

With all vehicles from 2015 onwards having been fitted with tyre pressure monitoring sensors as mandatory, to advise the driver when the pressures fall below 25% of the manufacturers recommend tyre pressure – on occasions a sensor can become damaged or faulty requiring a new sensor to be fitted and programmed to the vehicle, Charminster garage has the technology to carry this out.
